thanx for all who haf shown concern, im feeling much better now. i guess taking half-day off last wed did help alot. it was a last min decision to join a fren at the singapore motoshow. i managed to rush just in time for the stunt show at 1pm. well i actually reached the convention centre at 12.55, strolling my way as i din noe itz gonna be held in an enclosed area and that they will stop people from entering at 1pm sharp, until my fren told me to hurry.

i rushed to buy the tix and ran up to the exhibition hall at L4 and i saw alot of ppl running towards a certain direction, so i figured that we had a common destination and i ran along. until the security at the entrance stopped me and said, "Miss, you will need to exchange for an orange wristband at counter xxx, I'm sorry but I can't let you enter." i went blank at that moment, coz i noe im definitely not gonna make it if i detoured back to exchange for the band, but i started walking in the reverse direction and i bumped into someone who said "hey take this, i happen to have an extra." i was soooo touched and yea i managed to catch the show. it was quite exhilarating as that was my first time watching it. itz a pity i din bring my digicam coz it was a last min decision to take off (image-capturing devices are strictly disallowed in my office). well i would say this yr's motorshow is a letdown. alot of carmakers din take part this yr. but the $10 is definitely worth it if u watch the stunt show. (mebbe queue up to drift legally as well :P)

after which sent my fren to collect his car and test drove an Opel Astra 1.6. we juz wanted to kill off time and i've nv test driven b4. well it was quite fun as i was playing around with AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission). basically itz driving a manual car without using clutch, we can only up/down-gear once at a time, meanwhile controlling the 'biting point' by releasing the accelerator instead. itz pretty hassle-free as it will down-gear automatically when the car is slowing down. but i think a manual car will perform much better in terms of gear-transition and fuel-efficiency. well but itz quite shiok test-driving, next time will test-drive more vehicles :P

also had a great weekend after the 'hectic' week. went to the food expo wif mom on sat and she bought alot of bird's nest and chicken essence and ba gua (she claims itz cheaper there). well juz ate and drank afew samples here and there, din really buy much. but really witnessed typical kiasuness of singaporeans there. long queues for milo, toothpicks stuffed with multiple food samples were very common scenes. and ppl are so selfish when it comes to getting seats. most of them claimed that they were all taken (ya by bags and bags of stuff, legs...) well i guess everyone has his/her ugly side.

went to jb on sun. wanted to play go-kart but called it off as it was pouring v heavily. went for a haircut and ktv after that. well the hairstylist told his staff to blow my hair to give it a temporary perm. it din last long (think abt 1-2 hours) but at least i could visualise how i look wif permed hair. here it is:

i'm feeling rather crappy now. work hasnt been smooth ever since i came back from 18-day course. been trying to clear up the outstanding work asap but facing lagged replies from the involved parties and lack of knowledge, which leads to further verification and further delay...

which made me look back on the work i've done so far. i did make some mistakes along the way, which caused things to be delayed, but eventually they have been resolved. i noe that im still relatively 'new' and am still learning, but i duwan to use that as an excuse. alot of times i thot that i noe wad i need to do, but due to my inexperience and carelessness i missed out the minor details. thus i've been relying alot on my colleagues for guidance, which made me wonder sometimes if im a hindrance. but i noe i gotta clarify my doubts now and put in more effort for my job, before i regret later, like how i nearly lost myself during hyp.

well itz no point crying over spilled beans. i noe my flaws and i noe how to rectify them. now i gotta overcome my inertia and be more passionate and serious about my work and i believe i can perform better at work. cheer me on.

finally an update after 3 months. im not really that bz, but juz dun haf the mood to sit down to blog, since i cant blog during work time now (work is beginning to pile up) and i no longer felt like blogging when i reach home. well let's see wad's been happening for the past 3 months.

1. i faced some family issues which i duwan to tok abt and there's no pt in toking abt now since they haf oredi been settled. so that took up some time.

2. i've achieved max lvl for my RO character! lol now i havent been playing so actively, guess the interest really dies down after a while. but i wun quit totally, will login every now and then to catch up with old frens, take part in guild wars and stuff...

3. caught some movies, out of which i think only the prestige is worth mentioning.

4. been dling more than i can watch haha. caught quite a number of nice jap dramas, out of which i would recommend

5. i've taken up aerobics at amore! been feeling guilty abt not working out and duan juz suggested and hey why not! i think i've had 3 classes so far and i pretty enjoyed them.

6. been spending alot of money on the car. serviced the aircon, changed a tyre + rim. still gotta service, polish and wax the car b4 my sis comes back next month. n hopefully i can adapt to a no-car life after that or hope that my sis buys a new car so that this car is mine :p

7. been catching up with old frens. catching up is always nice, we get to bitch, gossip, share with each other our work experience. itz always good to noe that your close frens are just a phone call away if you need them. =)

8. lastly, i'm still single, not too sure if i wanna say im available, coz im not searching in particular. been meeting alot of new colleagues and new frens, but i juz wanna be frens for a start. well and for frens i would classify as acquaintance, normal frens and close frens. i noe this may sound very cruel, but i dun find the need to have to chat further to acquaintances other than a hi/bye, and maybe some 5min short catchup and leave me alone after that. the feeling is just not right and i dun haf the mood to tok to you. well and i will only share my personal problems with close frens, you will noe who you are. so to the rest, pls dun probe, i will tell u when i feel that im comfortable in telling. seems like im drawing a very distinct line which only i myself noe and no one else noes lol. all i can say is, please just leave me alone if itz rather obvious that i duwan to tok to u. thanx.

the weekend juz wheezed past... went back to sch on fri to watch the juniors prep for rag day and on sat to watch the actual performance. it was fabulous! this was the first time i'm an actual audience, was either absent or performing or helping out behind the lorry for the past years... mj, followed by going into jb to eat on sun. it was a feast, but could have been cheaper if we had ordered the right stuff...

yea tt's abt it. been chatting for quite a fair bit wif various ppl recently. more catching up work to be done. will be on course on wed and thur, so that shud keep me occupied during working hours. till then...

this is the nth time i yawned at work, and only 1 hr+ has passed! i guess itz inevitable after onli < 4 hrs of sleep (considering im a pig who needs to sleep at least 7 hours). oh and i was dam suay last nite. it started pouring heavily when i was juz 1 min away from home. and to add to that, i gotta park till the 4th floor of the multi-storey carpark. ok to many ppl 4th floor is normal, but for my estate, the multi-storey carpark has onli 5 floors and the 5th floor is leased to some car/rental companies to house their cars. and usually even when i return home v late i will get a gd spot at 3rd floor. well nvm can exercise slightly more wif 2 more flights of stairs lol. and tt isnt the end, i realised i lost my mini window wiper which i place at the side of the front passenger seat. muz haf dropped it unknowingly when someone alighted the car. so now b4 i get a new one and when it rains, the car is gonna get dirty wif raindrop prints (ok i admit im abit particular, would be more niao if i get my own car in the future ;p)

but we had a great time toking over supper after mj wif TL, RY and aves. RY juz got back a couple of days ago and he’ll be starting work next week. i think so far most of the grads i noe have oredi landed themselves wif jobs, which is a gd thing :) yup so i guess it’ll be harder to sync timings for mj in the future, but will definitely try!

btw, a lot of ppl and reviews told me that click is a muz-watch. will definitely find some time to watch next week!

i find tftf:TD dam nice! some may beg to differ, but i think they have great race and drift scenes, esp when they were racing in town. and to add to that, the setting is in japan, tying in wif some japanese culture, mebbe tt's y i could appreciate it so much haha. dun expect ani gd-looking guys in it (but there sure are plenty of eye candies for guys). nice cars, nice drifts, nice cinematography. it'll definitely appeal to car/race lovers.

wow the weekend juz flew past. been really occupied, now let's see wad i've been doing...

fri
went back to sch to get transcript wif TL, lunched, tkss den decided to go back to sch again after knocking off coz they will be celebrating jasmine's bdae in the evening. so i juz went back to watch abit of their fow dance, sat thro the loooong debrief, ate cake, dined and den watched their rag dance practice. gotta noe of this ~~gay~~ guy. was quite taken aback by his actions and words coz he's juz so frank and open and hyper-frenly even towards strangers like me lol. but he definitely is a gd entertainer keke. oso gotta meet my 弟妇, so didi im waiting for my tea...

sat
decided to stay home to clean up my room and help my mom wif some chores. managed to clear some junk out of my room and oso tried to troubleshoot my faulty desktop. decided to change the cpu fan/heat sink since i suspected that the problem was overheating and i had another spare set of P4 heat sink + chip. in the end i had problem taking out the heat sink and after many tries wif some brute force, i pulled out the heat sink, together wif the chip wif the chip's catch still in place >.< luckily none of the pins were spoilt, but now i have a hamburgered chip + heat sink + thermal paste... so i might as well tested the pc wif my old P4 chip but alas the random shutdown still persisted. well i gave up for the day and decided to test the mobo or format my hdd next time. the rest of the day was dedicated to my mom, my rabbit and gaming.

went ktving wif peiwen, aves and TL. managed to attempt a few songs which i've nv sung b4. had quite a gd time k-ing coz itz been quite some time since i last k-ed, just that i feel that the package could have been longer and cheaper if we had opted kbox. nvm next time den... spent the rest of the nite wow-ing. i've achieved a vast improvement, managed to play consecutively for 3 hrs+ lol. ganbatte~

yup so tt was how i spent my weekend and there are more kangtaos to come lol. will be watching tftf:TD tonite wif the guild, company's national day observance (walk-a-jog + inter-pc games) tmr, accompanying mom on wed, staying back late at night on fri, rag day + meet junior (to help her wif some financial advising stuff) on sat. and i havent factored in mjing, gaming... lol but i like my current life, juz do wadever i wan without having to acct for my whereabouts.

regarding work im glad that it's starting to flow in, im attending more meetings, making more calls, sending more emails and yea u get wad i mean, doing more constructive stuff. i like my job, and the type of job they actually assign to us. the only thing i dun like now is my cubicle, it's right at the door, meaning when u enter u will see my back and wad im doing... >.< well i guess i juz gotta get used to it and try to wall myself up using racks, cabinets and stuff lol. but overall, i like working! give me more work pls! ;p

yes i gave my blog a new look! after staring at and playing with html codes for nearly 1 whole day, itz finally presentable. some ppl said i hiao go and change the look when this blog is only 2 days old, but i guess im not that a pinkish person, so here it is, my fav brue brue brog...

i will continue to work on the blog header. it's too pixelated and the words din turn out as nice as i thot. meanwhile, enjoy...

woke up way b4 my alarm clock went off. im sooo tired but i cant seem to get decent sleep nowadays, dunno y, itz not as if im troubled by alot of things. oh well, i dilly-dallied abit b4 leaving for work and ended up wif a lousy parking lot. the situation at my workplace is this: it has very limited season parking lots and there hasnt been any vacancy since way b4 i joined. so there were a few options:
1. go to work slightly earlier to get myself a visitor parking lot (there are abt 20)
2. park illegally on the slope outside the building
3. apply for season parking at the next building

2 was out coz alot of my colleagues have kena summons b4, abit turned off by 3 coz i still gotta walk some distance from the next building to mine. so i obviously opted for 1 since i do not need to pay for a visitor parking lot and by reaching office early i could knock off earlier too.

so usually i will reach at abt 810 and get myself a nice parking lot. (ie not under any trees; all visitor parking lots are out in the open) however i onli reached 10 min later today and there's only 1 lot left. i shud be glad that i could still get a parking lot and not having to pay wilson parking the whole day, but that lot is under a big tree who will drop all sorts of crap onto the car. i've parked there b4 and my car literally became littered wif leaves, branches, flowers, buds, ants, soil and of coz birds' droppings. looks like i gotta make a trip down to serangoon's esso to get my car cleaned. (that guy spent 20 min cleaning every part of my car, as compared to 5 min at other outlets and it was spanking clean). so... chomp chomp anione??

speaking of cars, i realised i've been driving rather fuel-inefficiently recently. i brake v hard v frequently due to a lot of humps along the way i take to work and sometimes stupid idiots cut into my lane without signalling and i tend to ram the accelerator becoz my sis' car is a super-heavy 1.5l nissun sunny which refuses to pick up unless my rev is over 3. sometimes i really hope i can get my own car and not have to drive this super fuel-inefficient and mature-looking car. i still remember that time when i was on course, the ppl working there asked me "why are u driving such an uncle car?" ... i dun really haf a choice and by right i shudnt grumble coz got car to drive liao still complain... let's just say im setting a target for myself so that there's sth i can work towards to. but just for those filthy-rich ppl who doesnt mind giving me a car as a gift, my current dream car is Honda Jazz. thanks in advance.

p.s we all have dreams and goals. some just happen to be abit more plausible than others. ;p

well when i reached home i realised that today's WoW's maintenance day, and RO is dam laggy, so i decided to play with my bunny more. i think i shall post pics of him after i bathe him, his fur looks weird now... den i suddenly remembered that my rabbit loves listening to music (classical ones esp) and he will always perk his ears high up, so i decided to play my long-abandoned piano to entertain him, and also to brush up my skills.

sadly, i could no longer remember any pieces in full after neglecting my piano for nearly 5 years... yea im those kind who will keep practising a piece until i memorise and not read the scores. this shudn't be the right way to play the piano, but who cares, as long as i can play a few pieces. i haf nv been officially graded to begin wif... so i spent the whole hour staring at the score of my fav song "Close to You" by Cagnet (not the one by the Carpenters, itz the theme song of the jap drama Long Vacation, if anione remembers). after practising repeatedly, i managed to play the whole song with quite a handful of errors in between. din play for long as it was oredi 10+pm then and ppl in my estate likes to complain a lot... both my pinkies hurt abit but i guess i juz gotta get used to it, at least now i got my feel back.

wanted to post some commencement pics but the uploading takes freaking long. mebbe i'll upload it to photobucket first den post them here, but will haf to postpone till tmr. gotta try to catch some sleep now, havent really been sleeping well this week.

After so long, I've decided to make my thoughts public again, so this will be the place that contains my random rantings. however sometimes I do get the bloggers' syndrome and lose the mood to write, so please forgive me for lagged/lack of entries. i've included the links to my past entries just in case anione is interested to look at my past.

I've promised many that I will create a photo blog that contains my invaluable memories at USA. please be patient as I will only be receiving the pictures from my sis via a colleague next week, so bear with it ya... meanwhile I will try to play around with the html codes at the moment to make this blog more appealing. content is always more impt isnt it? ;p

As usual, work stuff will be highly classified, only those that have passed security clearance will be published here, others will only be made known to close frens thro other means. ;)

So right now, other than work, I've decided to try playing WoW (i noe its abit late, since most ppl are inactive liao, but better late than nv). been browsing through game guides and am still quite unaccustomed to the FPS controls, since I'm quite mouse-oriented after playing RO for so long. so fellow gamers, pls guide me along ya...

i guess it's about time to knock off that's enuff for the first entry. do drop by and leave ur opinions ya...
